Installation of Curt Trailer Hitch on a 2022 Kia Telluride

Question:

I have a 2022 Kia Telluride and I am going to install the Curt trailer hitch myself. I see that the spare tire has to be lowered/removed... not permanently, correct? Is there anything else of note about this install?

Don't worry, the spare tire on your 2022 Kia Telluride will be put back on once installation of the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13420 is complete. Overall the installation of this hitch is pretty straight forward and you don't need to be super handy to accomplish it. There are a few things of note, like having to temporarily lower the exhaust and remove an underbody panel on the driver side. Aside from that you just raise the hitch into place, bolt it in and do some light fascia trimming on the underside of the vehicle but don't worry the trimming won't be noticeable.
