Fogatti Tankless Water Heater Drains Every Time It Is Used

Updated 07/14/2025 | Published 10/30/2021

Question:

We installed the tankless water heater and only one problem. That clear hose on the bottom keeps draining water every time I use water. Is there something I missed or should redo.

I reached out to the manufacturer and it would seem you probably have an open/faulty Drain screw.

Pull off DRAIN PIPE and use 3/16" flat blade screwdriver to make sure DRAINAGE SCREW is tightened all the way clockwise in its housing. Replace DRAIN PIPE and test.

If that doesn't work it might be a faulty temp/pressure relief valve. When the valves go bad they start to vent when the pressure is not at the danger level. This can be just dripping to a full blown spray. There is not an adjustment on a pressure relief valve. You will need to replace it if it is venting and leaking water. You can replace it with Camco RV Water Heater Temperature and Pressure Relief Valve - 1/2" Valve w/ 4" Probe # CAM10423 or Camco RV Water Heater Temperature and Pressure Relief Valve - 3/4" Valve w/ 4" Probe # CAM10473.
