Roof Cargo Box That Fits Tesla Model Y Factory Crossbars
Question:
I have a new Tesla Model Y with the roof rack from installed. My old Thule Atlantis Cargo box 686XT will not fit because the gripper clamps are too close together. Can I modify the box somehow to add new clamps or brackets that are further back? I saw this part on your website: Replacement Mounting Hardware for Car Top Cargo Roof Cargo Box Item # CTC-18PARTS Will this work if I drill new holes into the underside of the box?

We can't recommend you use a different brand of mounting hardware on your Thule cargo box. The only solution we can safely recommend is a cargo box that is a confirmed fit for the factory crossbars of your Tesla Model Y like the Yakima SkyBox NX 16 part # Y95AV.
