Replacement for a Bargman L100 Airstream 1967

Question:

Looking for a complete replacement lock that will fit a 1967 Airstream. It has a Bargman L100 lock that is expensive to find a replacement, parts or even a diagram on how to assembly the lock. Right now we are using a screw driver to open the door. Would really like to totally replace with a new lock, but unsure of it fitting within the cut out of the door. Any help on this would be appreciated.

It really comes down to the thickness of the door on your 1967 Airstream.

From my research it looks like the 66-68 Airstreams had a thicker door which was over 2-1/4" thick. If you have the thicker door the only option would be to use one of the rebuild kits, or one of the upgrade kits made specifically to fit your L100 lock.

If your doors is 1-1/4" - 1-1/2" thick the # 295-000019 could work, but you would need to do quite a bit of cutting to make it fit as it is larger than your current opening.

If you can let me know the thickness of your door I would be happy to confirm the options available for you.
