How To Measure An RV Sink Drain For A Strainer
Published 11/19/2020 >
Question:
Where do you measure to get a correct fit for a sink strainer and basket?
asked by: Kathy B
Helpful Expert Reply:
The measurement that is typically needed most is the drain opening of the sink itself.
The most commonly found drain diameter in RV sinks is 2 1/8". When you're shopping for strainers and baskets, they'll be sized according to drain openings. The actual diameter of the accessories will be just barely smaller than the diameter of the drain opening.
The sink strainer and basket # 3729490-215-022 has a 2" diameter to fit the common 2 1/8" drain openings.
