Can the SeaSucker Monkey Bars Roof Rack be Locked to the Top of the Vehicle
Products Featured in This Question
Question:
Since its so easy to remove these racks, it seems that once I arrive at my destination with my kayak I would have to remove the entire rack system and my kayak cradle hardware and store it all in my vehicle if I want to avoid someone stealing the entire unit while Im out kayaking. Is there any other way to avoid theft of the racks?

You are 100% correct about that for the SeaSucker Monkey Bars Roof Rack # 298-SX6000B.
SeaSucker does have their Cable Anchors # 298-BA0020 and # 298-BA0010 that could potentially be paired with a lock like the etrailer Cable Lock # e98891, but these anchors are really meant to be used for the bike or kayak itself as they won't really be able to secure the roof rack.
Your best bet is to remove the rack and secure it inside your vehicle while you're out on the water.
If you can let me know what the year/make/model is of your vehicle I can see if we have any standard roof rack options available that will allow you to lock them to your roof.
