Question:

I was looking at the thule rapid crossroads aeroblades for my 2016 ford flex. I have a Yakima skybox that I want to use on it. Will the skybox clamp onto the blades? Just wondering if the width of the bars vs the clamp of the skybox. thanks

It sounds like you are looking at the Thule WingBar Evo Crossbars - Aluminum - Silver - 53" Long - Qty 2 # TH711400, and Evo Raised Rail Feet # TH710401. The crossbars are 3-1/8" wide x 1" tall which will absolutely fit the Skybox clamps. I also recommend adding the locks # TH450400.

The AeroBlade crossbars are the old Thule aero crossbars the WingBar replaced. If you have the old crossbars, they will fit the Rapid Crossroad feet and will also fit the SkyBox clamps.

The Yakima SkyBox NX 16 Roof Cargo Box - 16 cu ft - Black Carbonite # Y95AV fits crossbars that are up to 3-1/2" x 1-11/16 inches.
