Is the Titan EOH Adapter 058-011-00 The Same As the Titan EOH Adapter T4846000

Updated 05/01/2020 | Published 04/29/2020

Question:

I have a 2109 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 with the towing package. My new enclosed trailer has electric over hydraulic brakes. It uses a Dexter E/H 1600 Brake Actuator to provide hydraulic pressure to the brakes system. The Dexter unit runs and pumps when actuated with the break away switch. The unit does not run when the brake pedal is depressed. All wiring is correct. Dexter tech line said that the Chevrolet factory trailer brake controller is not compatible with the Dexter E/H 1600. They said I need an adapter. I was given Titan part number 058-011-00. Etrailer does not list the adapter by this number but does list Item # T4846000 which apparently is the same part. Is this all I need to add to the trailer brake system to make the electric over hydraulic bakes on the trailer work? If this is the only part I need, I assume the white wire goes to ground battery ground and frame ground and the blue wire connects to the blue wire from the truck’s brake controller. I have a wiring diagram but I cannot attach the file here or copy it into this message

The Titan BrakeRite EHB Adapter for Ford/Chevy Integral Brake Controllers part # T4846000 is the same as the Titan 058-011-00 so you will be good to go with the above. This adapter will then allow you to use the Chevy factory brake controller with an electric over hydraulic brake actuator. This will be all that's needed. In regards to wiring, just splice into the ground and brake output wires from the main harness of the actuator.
