Proper Lubrication of Pivot Points on Thomas Payne Recliners
Published 02/05/2020 >
Question:
A question about which lubricant to use for the pivots on these chairs. First: we thought we had a faulty control box or actuator, as one chair stopped opening could hear a click, but no motion - but heater, massage and lights worked fine. After removing from the floor brackets and moving the chair a bit, it would sporadically work - but I could hear resistance at one spot. After lubricating all pivot points with 3-in-1 oil, it now seems to be working reliably. BUT - in the future, should I be using that oil, or silicon dry lube or something else? Hoping to prolong the life of the actuator and controller - thanks!

The LubriMatic White Lithium Grease - part # L11354 is a great choice for this situation. It is a great grease for all temperature ranges, holds on to the surface well so there is no dripping and does a great job keeping things freely moving.
I've provided a link to the page and it's video for you.
