Question:
My 2018 RAM 2500 Tradesman Crew Cab 4X4 has the following vehicle capabilities: - Maximum Payload 2,450 lbs. - GVWR 10,000 lbs. - Maximum Towing 17,000 lbs. - GCWR 25,300 lbs. Question: Can I safely tow a 5th Wheel with a total weight of 15,500 lbs.?

Helpful Expert Reply:
Yes, since your 2018 Ram 2500 is rated for towing a trailer up to 17,000 lbs you'd have no problem towing a trailer that weighs up to 15,500 lbs. Looks like you have a short bed truck so you'll need to use a slider hitch to give you turning clearance between the cab of the truck and the nose of the trailer.
Which for that the B and W Companion slider hitches are the way to go. They are made in the USA, very reliable and well built, easy to use, and hold the king pin of the trailer the tightest to provide you with the smoothest ride quality possible. For that you'd want the part # BWRVK3400 for if you do not have the OEM rail kit. Which you'd then need the rail kit part # BWGNRK1384.
If you have the OEM rail kit instead we have the Companion for Ram rail kits part # BWRVK3670 which would fit it directly.
