Question:
I have 2005 dodge ram 1500 2 wheel drive regular cab with 4.7 motor. What is the towing capacity

Helpful Expert Reply:
I took a look at the owner's manual for a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500, and it stated that with at least a Class III hitch such as the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13333 the truck was capable of towing up to 5,000 lbs. I have added a link to a video install of this hitch on a Ram for you to check out.
Additionally, if your '05 Ram 1500 does not have a factory connector to power your trailer's lights you can add one with the Tail Light Converter Hardwire Kit w/ 4-Pole Connector # 119178KIT.
