Yes, the best option we can offer you to add fuel capacity is with the DeeZee Truck Bed Auxiliary Tank part # DZ91752X which should fit in the space you have between the cab and 5th wheel hitch no problem as it is only 9" deep. I don't have any specific measurements on different hitch/truck combos but the above will work for most on the market today. The DeeZee Truck Bed Auxiliary Tank will provide up to an additional 38 gallons of extra fuel.

The DeeZee Combo Auxiliary Tank part # DZ92740X would be much too large for a truck bed with 5th wheel hitch as it is 18" deep.

So can the small tank be used for diesel and come with an electric pump to move fuel to the truck tank?

@LarryS The DeeZee Truck Bed Auxiliary Tank # DZ91752X can be used for diesel, but is designed for a gravity feed to the main tank - DeeZee has specified that their fuel tanks are not to be used with pumps. You'll need to use the Connector Kit # DZ97960 to accomplish this.
