Using Tow Dolly With 2016 Ford Edge
Question:
when setting up to tow our car do we need to have the ignition on accessary ? Also after strapping down, does our edge need to remain in neutral with the inside cabin air in reciculating mode ? We are also wondering if the parking brake is to be on or off? Our car is one that has the push button to start. I read with some tow dollies that the steering must be able to rotate . is this true for our car? thanks

I took a look at the owner's manual for your 2016 Ford Edge to get an idea of what you would need to do when dolly towing with the Roadmaster Tow Dolly with Electric Brakes # RM-2050-1. The only thing mentioned in regards to dolly towing was that "if your vehicle has a steering wheel lock make sure the ignition is in the accessory or on position when being towed."
There is no other mention in the manual in regards to being in neutral or the parking brake on or off (though I would assume off) so I highly recommend contacting your local Ford dealer to get this information.
