Running Two 12V Batteries in Parallel
Question:
We have one single 12 V rv battery in our Forrest River trailer. Unfortunately the compartment only has room for one. So Ill have to add a second in a covered battery case. My question is can I add a second 12V in parallel, or do I need to switch to 2 6 volt batteries.

I believe you are just wanting to know if you will still get 12 volts of output when running two 12V batteries in parallel. If this is the case then yes, this is exactly what will happen when connecting the positive terminals together and the negative terminals together for both batteries. This will provide you with 12V power but will increase the capacity.
Running them in series is what would give you 24V output - which consists of connecting the negative terminal on the first battery to the positive terminal on the second.
I have attached an image to assist. I have also attached a link that will take you to our complete selection of battery boxes if you don't yet have one.
