Troubleshooting No Brake Output Power on 2010 Range Rover with Prodigy P2 Brake Controller

If you aren't getting any power at the brake output pin on your Range Rover's 7-Way when applying the manual override on the Prodigy P2 # 90885 then there is likely a bad wiring connection or an issue with the controller itself. Keep in mind that since this is a proportional controller it is normal not to get much if any power at the brake output pin when stepping on the brake pedal with the vehicle parked. You should get full power though with the manual override as long as you have the controller set to max power/boost.

I first just recommend making sure that the P2 is powered and on inside the vehicle. Check for any error codes that might be showing on the display and make sure it is showing the appropriate lights and digits for normal operation.

If it is powered and on make sure you have a good connection either with the factory brake controller port on the vehicle or to the appropriate wiring (depending on how you needed to install the controller). Most likely you used a plug-in adapter so just be sure this connection is secure.

Lastly you can try testing the brake controller itself by severing the blue wire a few inches from the controller. Then use a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to test the wire for power when you activate that manual override. If you still don't get power on this wire, then this points to an internal issue on the controller, and it may need to be replaced.
