Troubleshooting Trailer Wiring Connector on a 2005 Chevy Trailblazer
Question:
Do the 05 trailblazer taillight and trailer lights use the same relay? The right turn is on for both left turn it blinks and running lights its solid. I have used a volt meter and this is the case coming from the connector at the back of the trailblazer without trailer attached.

The trailer connector for your 2005 Chevy Trailblazer should look like either the 4-Way or the 7-Way in the attached pictures with the left turn/stop, right turn/stop, and running lights all on separate circuits. It is possible that someone could have rerouted the wiring but doubtful that they would make both left and right turn signals come on at the same time.
What you need to do is start off by checking the connector on your Trailblazer and making sure it is clean and free of corrosion and debris. If you do need to clean it out then I recommend putting some dielectric grease like part # 11755 on it as well to help protect it against corrosion and water.
If that looks good then you need to trace the wiring itself. Look for places where it is bent or damaged and replace as necessary. This should fix your issue but if it doesn't just let me know and I can help you troubleshoot further.
