I want to get a Thule roof box. how much weight can I put on the roof of my 2018 RAV4 with factory bars?

From my research your 2018 Toyota RAV4 can carry up to 101.9 pounds on the factory roof rack. That may be oddly specific but it's what Toyota states as the maximum. So you need to make sure the roof box you choose and everything in it doesn't exceed 101.9 pounds.

A good roof box that you might like is the Thule Force XT Sport, part # TH6356B. It holds up to 11 cubic feet of gear and includes locks. It fits on your RAV4's crossbars with clamps that are super easy to tighten. You just turn dials inside the box until you hear a click. And it's plenty loud to hear.

You also might be interested in a step, part # TE97FR, to help you load and unload the cargo in the box. It's a nice, inexpensive addition that many people don't think about until it's too late.
