For your 2019 Chevy Sonic Hatchback I really like the Yakima FullBack 2 Bike Rack # Y02634.

This carrier features SuperCush anti-sway cradles that do a great job of absorbing road shock and vibration to protect your bikes during travel. The ratcheting ZipStrip straps will hold your bikes at 3 different points and the easy-to-use interlocking HUB simplifies the process of adjusting the rack base to the shape of your Sonic's hatch. Both a bike and rack lock are included to help deter theft and it can handle up to 2 bikes at 35 pounds each.

If you plan on transporting any children's, women's, or alternative frame bikes you might also need an adapter bar like the Kuat # UB01. This will create a horizontal mounting surface for level transport and improved ground clearance.
