The date code on a tire is 4 numbers and some trailer tires may not even have it on them or it could be just on one side. The first 2 numbers in a date code are the week and the second 2 are the year. In the example picture I included the date code is 2511 meaning that tire was produced in the 25th week of 2011 (it's an old picture).
The 4N4F indicates that the tire was made in China but it isn't a date code. The date code is the last 4 numbers in the DOT code on the tire.
