2005 Dodge Durango 2WD 5.7L Hemi towing capacity
Products Featured in This Question
Question:
Can you tell me the towing capacity of my 2005 Dodge Durango 2WD Limited with 5.7L Hemi. It also has the factory towing package. Ive seen varying towing limits on the web and I cant find this info on Dodges web site any more. I also would like to know if I will need a weight distro/sway bar set if I want to pull a 3600lb travel trailer with this thing. Thanks...

I found the same varying tow capacity info for your 2005 Dodge Durango with a 5.7 liter Hemi so your best option would be to contact a Dodge dealer and have them tell you what your vehicle is rated for.
Any time you tow over half the towing capacity of the vehicle you want to use a weight distribution system. And most likely a 3,600 lb trailer would be over that or at least very near it. The Equal-I-Zer system part # EQ37060ET would work great for a trailer of your weight as it has a tongue weight range 200-600.
You'll also need a thin walled socket like part # EQ70-00-4800.
