Tricky Tow Package Wiring on 2013 Audi Q7 to Think a Trailer is Connected

Question:
Will this tester draw enough current to signal a 2013 Audi Q7 that a trailer is connected and activate the wiring circuit. It appears that the Audi has some sort of current sensor circuitry that wont provide the 12 volts or any of the light voltages unless it senses a trailer is actually connected. A Fluke digital volt meter doesnt draw enough current to make the Audi think it has a trailer attached.

Circuit tester # PK12741 will likely not draw enough power to make the tow package on your 2013 Audi Q7 think a trailer is connected. This is due to the light power draw from the LED lights.
What you need is adapter # C57003 for a 7-Way to 7-Way or # C35FR for a 7-Way to a 4/5-Way. These adapters have load resistors that will simulate additional load on the system so that the vehicle won't throw the bulb out alert when a trailer is connected.
If you are just doing some testing you need something with an incandescent or halogen bulb because those will draw enough power for the system to think a trailer is connected.
