I took a look at the owner's manual of the 2017 Toyota Yaris and if it has a manual transmission it can indeed b flat towed. You would need base plates # 521181-5 and a compatible tow bar such as the Roadmaster Falcon 2 # RM-520 as well as safety chains # RM-643
To power up the lights on your 2017 Toyota Yaris I recommend the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267 A supplemental braking system is also required in most states and a great option would be the SMI Stay-in-play DUO # SM99251. Finally, it is likely you will need a high-low adapter to keep your Yaris level with your tow vehicle. The adapter you need is going to depend on some measurements you'll need to take. I have added a link to a help article on high-low adapters which explains the measurements you'll need, as well as a link to our page with our selection of adapters. I've also attached a link to a video review of these products for you to take a look at.
