Locating Replacement Tires and Wheels for Kristi Trailer
Question:
Hello. Im looking to replace tires and rims on my Kristi trailer model KFW 612 S06. From what I can tell it has 5 - 4 1/2 in lug pattern, but not sure about the pilot hole diameter for hub. Current rims appear to be spoke wheel design, and not sure if modular is a choice or any better for any reason. Help/guidance would be appreciated. I noted the modular and spoke wheels you offer have different pilot hole diameters

In order to choose the correct size replacement tires and wheels for your Kristi Trailer, you will first want to determine the tire size currently mounted. This will be listed on the sidewall of the tire itself. If there are not tires currently mounted on the trailer, the correct tire size should also be printed on the main VIN sticker, usually located somewhere on the trailer tongue or axle.
I was not able to locate the tire size that is typically used on your model Kristi trailer, but did also find that it uses a 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern like you mentioned. The pilot hole size of your wheels will only matter if the current/previous wheels were hub centric, which is fairly uncommon. Most trailer wheels are centered on the lugs, so the pilot diameter does not have to match up.
I have attached a link that will take you to our available selection of trailer tires and wheels. You can use the facets on the left side of the page to filter through the different sizes once you have determined what you need. I have also included a couple articles on trailer tires and wheels that you might find helpful.
