In order to pick out a direct replacement for the landing gear on your 1996 Coachmen Catalina we would need to know the distance between the mounting brackets. Otherwise you could just have the brackets removed from your trailer by a qualified welder and then install the brackets that come with the Bulldog Tandem Landing Gear Set # BD500162. Either way this landing gear set would work well for you, you just might have to have the brackets of your trailer removed and then install the brackets of the # BD500162.
I attached a picture that shows the dimensions that this landing gear set would fit with.
The jacks would be the correct replacement for Lippert, Venture, and Atwood landing gear, as well as those from a few other manufacturers. The sure way to tell is that if the distance between the mounting brackets (underside of top bracket to top of lower bracket as shown in the diagram) is 17-1/2 inches. If this is the case, the landing gear should fit just fine.
If your frame clamps are instead 20-1/4 inches the Ultra Fab part # UF17-943010 would be a direct replacement.
