Question:
I purchased two of the Camco Garden Hose Connector for Unthreaded or Stripped Faucet Item # CAM22484 When I pushed it all the way onto my outdoor faucet and turn the water on, it just pops right off. Is there something else I need to do to get it to stay on when using a hose?

Expert Reply:
The Camco Garden Hose Connector for Unthreaded or Stripped Faucet # CAM22484 is not intended to be used with anything other than an open end hose. It is not designed to have any pressure built up against it. You may need to reduce the pressure coming out of the spigot as well. This is to be used only as an adapter for very basic water transfer and even a heavy-weight hose could be a problem with gravity and light water pressure. If you have issues with even low pressure, I recommend using a hose clamp like the Valterra Hose Clamp - Stainless Steel - 3/4" to 1-3/4" Diameter # H03-0004 to allow you to increase the water pressure while holding it snug to the stripped thread or unthreaded faucet.
