The fuse tap in question for Firestone air bag kits such as # F2581 is # F2526 and it comes with fuses already so you would not have to use your own. The included fuses are a 10 amp, 20 amp, and 30 amp.
The fuse tap is used to easily get power to the air bag system by tapping into the fuse panel rather than hardwiring to a 12 volt circuit. It isn't required but does make installation a little easier. I have included a link to a video showing an example installation.
