Wiring Harness for the Husky Brake Controller on a 2016 Jeep Cherokee

Question:

I have a Quest Brake Control that was installed on my 2014 Jeep Wrangler. I traded the Wrangler for a 2016 Jeep Cherokee and kept the brake controller. Can this Quest controller be used on the Cherokee? My Cherokee has factory install tow. Cant find the model of the Quest, unless its the number 14338 that is stamped into the controller on the end. If it can be used, do you sell the controller harness or know what the part number is? Thank you for your help.

We do not carry the Husky Quest brake controller, but since brake controllers are not vehicle specific, it should work just fine with your 2016 Jeep Cherokee.

Even though we don't carry the Quest, we do have a wiring harness that can be modified to work. The Tekonsha Custom Wiring Adapter, part # 3014-S, has one end that will plug directly into your Jeep's brake controller plug under the driver's side dash (provided that you have the tow package with the connector under the dash).

The other end will need to be hardwired it into your brake controller. The functions that you will hardwire each wire to are as follows:

White - Ground
Black - 12V Power
Blue - Output to trailer brakes
Red - Input from the brake switch
