Question:
I want to tow a small trailer 1150 lbs with my 2002 Honda CRV EX. I have a shop that I trust to install the towing equipment, and I need guidance on what all I need to buy... hitch, harness, ball, receivers, plates... very confusing! I dont want to buy more than I need or spend more than is necessary, but I want to make sure I have everything I need. Thanks

Towing a small trailer, one that does not have electric brakes, requires a hitch, ball mount, hitch ball and wiring harness for the trailer lights (if it has lights). You might also want some towing mirrors like # KS3990 to give you a better view of the trailer and the motorists behind you.
The best hitch option for towing is a 2-inch Class III type. You can use the Curt hitch # 13535 along with 4-pole wiring harness # 118336. For a ball mount and hitch ball use kit # EBMK4 which includes two hitch balls, pin and clip and a ball mount all in a handy kit.
I have linked a hitch installation video and several articles that will be helpful to you.
Always check your vehicle owner's manual for any guidance or restrictions regarding towing a trailer.
