Question:
Madam or Sir, I have a 1980 cj5 with 4.2l. Id like to wire my vehicle for a trailer. I already have the trailer hook. Would you like please to tell what pieces I need to purchase? Do you have a pictured tutorial to instal it? Many thanks in advance.

To add a trailer connector to your 1980 Jeep CJ-5 you can use # 18252. This is a hardwire installation. All you will need to do is identify the functions of the taillight wires on your Jeep and then splice in this harness's wires accordingly.
You can use a circuit tester such as # PTW2993 to test the Jeep taillight wires for function. On the wiring harness the white wire will ground to the vehicle frame. Yellow is for combined brake light and left turn signal. Brown is for taillights, and green is for right brake and turn signal.
I have linked a video showing how to test the wires. The testing process will be the same on your Jeep so use the video as a guide only.
