How Much Does a Reese 5th Wheel Hitch Weight

Question:

How much does the RP30081 weigh? Is the head removable to make it easier to move? Are hitch weights /removal options shown on your website? Thanks.

The Reese Select Plus 5th Wheel Hitch weighs approximately 130 lbs. It does have a removable head, but you have to get under it to take some pins out first.

All of our products have the shipping weight on the product's information page, so you can judge about how much something is going to weigh based off of its shipping weight. Unfortunately we do not have listings for the weight or removable components of our products, but I have some recommendations for you to consider.

We do have some 5th wheel hitches from B&W that feature more easily removable heads. B&W came out with their Patriot 5th Wheel Hitch series that has two levers you pull up on to easily remove the head so that you can remove the hitch from your truck bed. They have the Patriot # BWRVK3200, which weighs about 140 lbs, and has a Gross Towing Weight of 16,000 lbs. The Patriot # BWRVK3255 weighs about 130 lbs and has a Gross Towing Weight of 18,000 lbs. I have included some demonstration videos for you.
