Question:
I am in the process of purchasing a Rockwood Ultra V model 2715VS travel trailer which has a V nose design . Unloaded vehical weight 6689 lbs. Base hitch weight 840 lbs. Base dry axle weight 5790. And cargo capacity of 1551 lbs. To be towed by a 2010 Ford F-150 King Ranch 4x4. I am interested in your model RP66084 or perhaps 66074. Would either one of these hitches fit a V nose and in your opinion which one would you recommend. Thank You,

The best way to pick out a weight distribution system is to base it off of the loaded tongue weight of the setup when it is loaded and ready to tow. This figure also includes the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle. I attached a help article on determining tongue weight for you to check out as well. You will want the loaded tongue weight of your setup to fall right in the middle of the tongue weight range of the system you use.
I would highly recommend the Reese Strait-Line System part # RP66084 as it is the proper rated system for your setup and because it features the only sway control on the market designed to fight sway before it starts.
For a 2 inch ball you would want part # A-90 and for a 2-5/16 inch ball # 19286.
For bracket you would want the # RP58305 since you have a V-nose trailer. These bolt to the side of the trailer frame and do not require clearance above the frame of the trailer.
