Troubleshooting Lippert Trailer Slide-Out That Will Slide In But Not Slide Out
Question:
My slide out will slide in but will not slide out. is the trombetta polar solenoid my problem?

Helpful Expert Reply:
Since your slide's motor works (although only in one direction) we know it is good. This also tells us that the mechanical linkage components that transfer motor power to the slide-out are working too. So as a most-likely candidate the solenoid is it.
My contact at Lippert told me your can test the solenoid by connecting the center post to either of the outer posts on the solenoid. Each post will cause the motor to turn in a different direction. If the motor works in both directions when tested in this manner then the solenoid is the problem. If it works in only one direction then either or both the motor and solenoid are bad.
