Question:

Hi We have a 2014 Honda Accord Sport and a 2010 Lexus RX450h. Id like to get a 2 bike rack that will fit both... looking at the Thule TH910XT and the Saris 805 Which is better? Which would fit both cars? I do like the cleaner look of the Saris, and it seems to fit the older Lexus rx400 hybrid but does it fit the newer?

For a trunk-mount 2-bike rack that fits both your 2010 Lexus RX 450h (without rear spoiler) and your 2014 Honda Accord Sport sedan, I suggest the Thule Passage 2 carrier, part # TH910XT, if you don't need locks on the rack. If you prefer a Thule rack that includes integrated locks for both the rack itself and for your two loaded bikes, then the better choice is their OutWay , part # TH45JV. The Saris Bones racks fit the Accord, but not the Lexus.

In terms of ease of installation, the OutWay wins easily since it uses 2 rubber coated straps, rather than 6 nylon straps, to attach to the vehicle. These cable will last longer and mean less time required to install and remove the rack from the cars.

We currently have no trunk-mount rack fits for the 2010 Lexus RX 450h with rear spoiler. If you have the spoiler version then a hitch-mounted rack will be your best bet. In order to use one rack on both cars you'll need a rack like the Swagman XC # S64650 that fits into both the Class I hitches made for your Accord and the 2-inch Class III hitches made for the Lexus.

The XC offers light weight, both RV and car compatibility, 10-1/2 inches of clearance from the hitch pin hole and 4-inches of rise in the shank for better ground clearance. With it you can use hitch lock and cable # S64031
