Question:
i would like to know if you know or recommend of installers in south san francisco area? if not, since I visit to Los Angeles area at times, Do you guys install them? it is for Honda CRV 2016. I have been happy with the trailer hitch for my 2002 ford expedition...and its time to let go of the old vehicle. thank you

We are in Missouri near St Louis and are not affiliated with shops that do installations of trailer hitches.
If you are mechanically inclined, the installation of a trailer hitch like the Draw-Tite, part # 75742 is really not that tough. I have attached the installation instructions and have also attached a link to an installation video for this hitch on a 2016 CR-V you can check out.
I recommend the # 75742 trailer hitch over the Curt hitch, part # C13119 because Curt requires a stabilization strap like part # 18050 to be used when the trailer hitch is used for anything other than towing. It can be difficult to find a place to attach the strap at times.
If you have a local trusted shop near you, they should be able to do the installation with no problem.
If you plan on doing some towing you might be interested in etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop. It also includes a 1-7/8 inch ball, 2 inch ball, hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag.
If the ball mount kit does not include a ball mount with the right rise or drop to tow the trailer level, check out the link I have included that explains how to measure to choose a ball mount to tow the trailer level.
If you plan on towing and do not have trailer wiring, I recommend part # 118561. I have attached a link to an installation video for the wiring harness on a CR-V also.
Since you did not say what you plan on using the hitch for, let me know and I will be glad to make some recommendations that will work for you.
