I will be happy to help sort all this out. The maximum gross trailer weight for a 1993 Chevy 3500 series truck with the 7.4 liter (454) motor is 10,000 pounds. Everything else is lower. It depends on a few other factors such as if it is a 2x4 or 4x4, cab style, bed length. This information is straight from a GM document that covered all the capacities for all of their trucks for the 1993 model year.
So, now all we have to do is figure out exactly what your truck is rated for and then you can choose a 5th wheel trailer that is within the capabilities of the truck. If you can tell me if it's 2 or 4-wheel drive, the cab style, and the bed length that will help nail it down.
In the mean time I can tell you that the Reese Universal installation kit # RP30035 will fit your truck. Or for a custom kit that requires less drilling you could use # DM8552009-71.
For a hitch you would not need anything larger than a 16K. For a good entry level hitch with a dual jaw design and 4-way pivoting head you can use # RP30047. The slider version for short bed trucks is # RP30051.
