Curt Versus Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver For a 2021 GMC Acadia
Question:
I have a 2021 GMC Acadia, and I am trying to choose between the Draw-Tite and the Curt models. I noticed the Curt model recommends using straps for all non-trailer loads, where the Draw-Tite does not. What is the reason behind requiring straps for one and not the other? Thanks

The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76023 and Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13293 will not require stabilizing straps. I have put in to have that note removed as Curt does not recommend the straps with this receiver. I recommend the Curt as it will be the easier receiver to install given you will not have to remove the bumper fascia to complete the installation.
We have the 4-Way Harness # 118720 and the 7-Way Harness # 118276 that will plug into the factory connectors that come on your 2021 GMC Acadia. You will be able to choose the connector type that you need for your trailer or you can use the 7- and 4-Pole Trailer Connector Socket # HM40975 to replace the connector on the 7-Way Harness # 118276 so that you will have both connectors.
