Recommended Rear Suspension Enhancement To Work With Timbrens On a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD

Question:

I am looking for something to help with the springs bottoming out on my 2017 Chevy duramax, 4x4, standard bed, I already have timberlines installed, spring pack is 5 springs total, the 5 th wheel pin weight is 1325 pounds, trailer weight dry is 7768, loaded is 10000, I need something to help keep the truck from bottoming out, right now with the trailer loaded, it sits on the timberlines and springs are compressed, max payload of the truck is 2000, I know I’m borderline but it still shouldn’t be out of travel, thanks

As you already have the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System # TGMRCK25D installed on your 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 I recommend adding the RoadActive Suspension. The placement of the Timbren's limit you from adding air bags or another type of suspension enhancement that replaces the factory bump stops.

There are 2 RoadActive Suspension systems available and the one for your Silverado will depend on where the overload spring is on your leaf pack. If you have a top mounted overload spring you need Kit # RAS3611-CHD. For a bottom mounted overload sprint that will require kit # RAS3611-HD. Both these kits have a 3,000lb capacity rating and will not only improve the load leveling on your Silverado but they also help with sway, traction and handling by increasing stability of your rear suspension.
