Where to Measure to Pick Out Bearing Buddy for a Trailer Hub
Question:
I miked my hubs and the I.D. measurement came to 1.77. Would a 1.78 bearing buddy work on these hubs? Thanks

Actually the dimension you are looking for when picking out a Bearing Buddy is on the hub and not the spindle of the trailer. You need to remove the cap of the hub and then measure the diameter of the bore with your mic and that is the dimension needed. See picture.
The part # BB1810 that you mentioned is the correct Bearing Buddy if you have a bore of 1.81 inches.
