Can Tire Snow Chains Be Used on 2014 GMC Yukon Denali XL w/ 275/55-20 Tires
Question:
Im sure youve already been asked so I apologize in advance. I have a 2014 GMC Yukon Denali XL. Tire size P275/55R20. Read somewhere online owners manual says cant use chains with these wheels on Yukon. Find that hard to believe since they are stock. Have you heard of this? Can you recommend something that works?

We fitguide our tire chains according to their compatibility with a given tire size not by their compatibility with a given vehicle, because many vehicles (like your Yukon XL) can be fitted with several different tire sizes.
Before recommending tire chains to anyone, I always recommend that they consult their vehicle manufacturer or owners manual for any advice or prohibitions about tire snow chain usage that might be mentioned. I found an online copy of the owner's manual which does indeed confirm that if your vehicle is equipped with 275/55-20 tires, tire snow chains should NOT be used because of the lack of clearance. Because I cannot recommend anything that would contradict GMC's recommendations, I'd recommend you speak with your GMC dealer for their suggestions.
If your dealer gives you the green light to use Class S chains (chains that extend no further than 15mm to the inside of the tire), I'd recommend the Titan # TC2327 chains. The chain links are square in profile, which will offer maximum traction. The diamond pattern offers better stability than ladder-style chains.
I recommend folks get some practice installing their chains so that when the time comes, they won't have to learn the process while kneeling in the snow on the side of the road. I'll link you to a product description video for the chains I recommended as well as to some tire snow chain FAQ articles you might find helpful.
