Tire Chain Recommendation for Occasional Use on a 2005 Scion xB
Question:
Total novice here-Driving alone on mountain roads where I may need chains for my 2005 Scion xb. Looking for something that I will hopefully never use, but if I must, I want to be able to install it easily. What do you suggest? I see different ones under $40, but dont know which would be better...and should I get the rubber adjusters, and if so, which ones? Also, should these go on the front or rear tires? Thanks!

For your 2005 Scion xB I have a great solution for you. Check out the Titan Chains part # TC1525. These are priced great, will give you much better traction than the cable systems, and will install pretty easily.
We always recommend people install their chains at least once before being in a situation where they need them. Once you get a good idea on how the chains install in the comfort of your garage it will be much easier for you to install these chains in inclement weather possible without sunlight.
Check your owners manual to see if there are any restrictions on snow chain usage. There will also be recommendations on what wheels to install chains on.
