2007 Chevrolet Silverado 2500

Simple to use with easy menus and update process via your computer. Don't expect a dramatic power boost with gas engine. I have noticed much improved mid range throttle response, especially at higher elevations. My 2500 HD no longer has to downshift 2 gears to maintain or increase speed on 5 to 6% grades in winding turns in the 45 to 55 mph speed range. Wide open throttle passes at higher speeds seem to be a bit quicker. To soon to form any opinion on fuel mileage.

by:

Easy to follow instructions, had it installed in 5 minutes. Performance has improved noticable.

by:

Thank you etrailer for your awesome customer service. etrailer will be my go to site for all my automobile needs.

Worked good and came pretty quick

I had to update the tuner two times in order to get the tunes for my truck once I got the tune installed it don’t change my shift points in the transmission my first chip I got back in 2000 changed my shift points as well up the horse power .you would think we’d have better technology in 2021.
I had called the tech line about four times and all the techs I talked to were nice and helpful.

I bought this after installing 4.56 ring and pinion gears in the front a rear axles in my 02 gmc sierra 1500. Due to differences in where wheel speed data is collected between the front and rear axles you'll get an abs warning light if you make any changes in drivetrain bearing. This unit has the ability to adjust the parameters for tire size and gear ratio in order for the ECU to perform the necessary calculations. The result is that the ECU can then realize that both front and rear wheel are in fact rotating at the same speed, which turns of the abs light. I also used a GPS speedometer and adjusted tire size so that the indicated speed matches perfectly a calibrated gps speed perfectly. Its actually more accurate now then it ever was. So I can confirm that this unit will correct both issues you may have. I havnt used any of the "canned" tunes so no comment on performance, towing or mpg gains. Just adjusted the parameters on the stock tune and been running it like that for a year with no issues

by:

This programmer makes a big difference with my 2008 Expedition (5.4 V8, 6 speed auto). Fuel saver mode gave me around 2 mpg better on the highway, Performance 91 gives it a great snarl and significantly more power. Regular 87 mode, after a day or two, had smoother shifting and less gear hunting at low loads. Feels a little more powerful too. I haven't tried towing yet.

by:

First I have to say that ETRAILER has the absolute best customer service out there. When I ordered this over the phone, there was an error that doubled up everything (glitch in the system I believe). Anyway, before shipping, and charging me double for everything, they called me to confirm that was what I really wanted... good thing.

As far as the Superchips is concerned. It's great. Really unlocked my truck's power. So easy, a caveman could set it up. Tells you recommendations (i.e. in performance mode, don't tow, etc.). Also, for Mac users, the Flashpaq F5 is upgradeable on your computer. Just go to the Superchips website, download the "ignition" software and you're good to go. I spoke with Superchips and they acknowledged that's an error on their website. If you're going for fuel economy, go with the "Performance" mode. I've seen easily a 3MPG overall gain in that mode. It's also the one that increases the most torque and HP. Highly recommend this product if you want something simple that will unlock your Cummins while keeping it safe... and you really can't go wrong by ordering from ETRAILER. Seriously, I have ordered tons from them and they are awesome!

by:

The tunes that come with it are great! However the other functions aren't all that special. The code reader is basic at best. It wont pull any advanced codes, the $[XX] code reader from wal mart does the same thing. Also when I changed the tire size from the stock 27" to the new 33" it didn't load it properly and caused the brake and ABS warning lights to lose their minds and flash constantly. Overall its overpriced for what you get.

by:

Wow! I love this tuner! I enjoy the ability to change the tune from performance to towing in a mater of minutes . I was happy to disable the DOD (cuts off 4 cylinders on light load) and to raise the speed limiter too! very happy!

by:

The Flashpaq seems to be working really well for fuel economy but I haven't tried it with my 5th wheel yet. If it works as good as the service I had from etrailer, I don't think that I'll have any problems at all. You guys were great with keeping me updated on my order.
Thank you

by:

Not a noticeable gain in any of the modes. I would just buy a cold air intake instead and save your money on this basic tuner.

by:

Had an EDGE tuner for my '08 F250 that I liked better. This one is kind of slow to update the computer (2 files, with lots of ignition off/on cycles). I tried the Performance tune and went for a quick ride. Yep, it worked. Loaded the Towing program, we'll see how that works out.

by:

Really helped unlocking power at lower RPM with heavy trailer load. Easy to use.

by:

So far I have only used it on the 87 octane tune setting. Definitely an overall mild improvement in performance. Does not kick out of overdrive while in cruise control mode nearly as often. Picked up at least one possibly two miles per gallon.

by:

I ordered a Superchips Flashpaq for my 02 Dodge Ram 4.7. ETrailer was one of very few websites that was clear in its discription on wheather or not it would work on my truck. The customer service is great and the price was good.

by:

Have this on my 2.7 l F-150 for a year and it definitely adds a little kick and it's great to have the OBD feature

by:

Easy to use, works great. This in addition to cold air induction and cat back exhaust really woke my truck up.

by:

Great fuel economy it doubled my mpg. The performance is great it adds alot of extra power. Havent tried the towing yet but if i have no dout that it will work just ass good as the rest of the of them. Thanks alot.

by:

Truck works better with it. It’s an incremental improvement but noticeable.

by:

Took about 10 mins for the PCM to upload the stock tune then about another 5 minutes to program the Fuel savings tune, I could almost instantly notice a difference. I drive a pretty steep hill on my way to work and always have to downshift and lose speed near the top, not anymore I can take the hill in 5th and Speed up as well. 20 HP doesn’t seem like much but it makes a huge difference. Next text will be when I tow my RV to the coast on the heavy towing tune.

by:

Product arrived on time. Works as advertised. Easy plug and play type interface. Like being able to change my trucks program as I see fit. Would recommend to anyone that likes tweaking cars and trucks.

by:

The superchips f5 Flash paq is horrible it did nothing for my truck but make it lose fuel milage even with economy tune i would not recommend this product to anyone

  • Recommended Tuner for 2008 Ford F-250 with 5.4L Engine
For your 2008 Ford F-250 that has the 5.4L engine I really like the Superchips Flashpaq F5 Performance Tuner # SU1845. This tuner will give your truck the extra pep it needs with projected increases of up to 25 horsepower and 49 foot pounds of torque on your particular F-250. It will also allow you to adjust for different tire sizes on the truck. The tuner will plug right into the OBD-II port in your truck and also includes a color LCD screen for reading engine data and adjusting settings....

While we do have a tuner that boosts horsepower on your 2000 Dodge Ram 1500 with the 5.9L Magnum, the Flashpaq F5 # SU3845 and the California-approved version # SU4845 come with tunes that only recalibrate your settings for tweaking shift points, shift firmness, and TQ management. It also comes with monitoring capabilities and active fuel management control. As far as horsepower, while you can see an increase in performance, you may only notice a slight increase in power. • Can New Superchips Tuner be Used to Remove Old Superchips Tuner on a 1999 Ford F-250
Yes you can. I spoke with my contact at Superchips who said that you can purchase a new Superchips Tuner for your 1999 Ford F-250 7.3L, like the Flashpaq F5 # SU4845, and use it to remove the older Superchips tuner. All you need to do is give them a call once you have the new unit and have access to a computer so they can walk you through how to get this done.

  • Suspension Enhancement and Programmer Recommendation for 2012 Ram 1500 4.7 liter V8
I'd expect at least a little bit of suspension on your 2012 Ram 1500 when towing a trailer that weighs 5,600 lbs. The best suspension enhancement we offer to reduce that sag that also improves handling, ride quality, and stability is the SumoSprings part # SSR-307-47 which are a fit for your vehicle. The Superchips Flashpaq part # SU4845 will give you up to an additional 50 horsepower and 55 ft lbs of torque for an easy way to gain a substantial amount of power and fuel mileage.

  • Can a Performance Tuner and Cold Air Intake Lower RPMs for a 2015 Ford F-150 with 3.5L N/A Engine
Since you said that your 2015 Ford F-150 has an 3.5L N/A Engine that means you wouldn't have the turbo. We do have programmers available for your application but we don't have any cold air intake systems compatible with your specific pickup. Out of our available selection I recommend going with the Edge Gas Evolution CTS2 # EP85450. This is a performance tuner that comes with a monitor and can increase your HP by 16 and Torque by 27. The Edge Evolution CTS3, part # EP99YR is indeed compatible with your 2013 Ram with the 5.7 Hemi engine, but be aware that it is NOT CARB approved, so it should not be installed on a vehicle registered in California. A performance chip will tune the engine so that it runs more efficiently. An engine that is running more efficiently will provide modest increases in fuel economy (typically 1 to 1-1/2 mpg) IF the vehicle is driven conservatively.
