Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Toyota Tacoma, we're going to be installing Aries round Nerf bars, part number AA202009. These three inch tube steps are going to make your vehicle look better, and they're going to make it easier to get in and out. This is going to be a durable carbon steel, three inch diameter tube step. It's going to run from the front door, all the way to the back, so both the front and back doors are going to make it easier for all your passengers. There'll be foot pads located on each rail. They're made of a durable polypropylene, and they've got ridges on them to help increase traction while getting in and out of your vehicle. And when you look here at our Tacoma, with its black and white finish, this really give it a complete look that fills out the vehicle. We'll start our installation at the back of the vehicle.
We're in front of the driver's rear tire here. Along the bottom side, under the door, you're going to see some little buttons here. We're going to need to remove these push pins, using a flat bladed screw driver. Those will just unscrew. There'll be two more sets of two.
This will reveal all the weld nuts that we'll need to install our hardware for our tube steps. Now we'll prepare our hardware to install our brackets. These are the smaller M8 bolts. You'll need a total of six for one side of the vehicle. You'll place a lock washer on each one, followed by a flat washer. Once your hardware's prepared, we're going to install our brackets.
The driver's side will be labeled here with the sticker. So this one here says "driver's rear", so we're at the rear most mounting location on our driver's side. Now a little note that the passenger side does not have these sticker labels, so it's a good idea to just kind of hold them up to each other, and see how they go, so that way you're ready for your passenger side. We'll line up the elongated holes in our bracket. Take the hardware we just prepared, and thread it into those holes. Next, we'll install our middle bracket.
And then we'll install our front bracket. And as you can see this one's shaped differently. It'll line up with the holes, and we'll install our hardware in the exact same way.Next, we're going to install our tube step. Now these are different front to rear. If you look at them, one side is going to be slightly closer to the foot pad here, than the other. The longer side is going towards the front, and the shorter end is going to towards the rear. We'll take our bar and set it up on our brackets. And we'll start the hardware in each of the holes located on the bottom. There'll be two per bracket. You may have to rotate it slightly to get the holes to line up.Again, just finger tight. And we'll do that for each bracket. Now, snug down all of your hardware. Start with your brackets, using a 13 millimeter socket. And then we'll tighten down the Nerf bar bolts, using a 16 millimeter socket. Now torque all of your hardware to the specifications in your instructions. And now you repeat the exact same procedures on the opposite side. And that completes our installation on Aries round Nerf bars on our 2018 Toyota Tacoma.

Custom-fit, round nerf bars have wide, non-slip step pads that help you easily enter and exit your vehicle. Constructed of carbon steel with a black powder coat finish to resist chipping, peeling, and fading. Custom installation with mounting kit.I really wanted to buy Westin 3" bars but could not get any definite answer to the question of whether they would fit a Tacoma with factory mud flaps. The Aries provided PDF instructions with picture, so I went with them. The Aries are of less quality than the Westins because the end caps are plastic and not welded. Also, the foot pads seem to be attached with tabs so have to assume there are holes in the flat spots for attaching pads. I will attempt to seal everything with silicone. The good news is that they are a breeze to install and fairly light. What I wanted most of all was side protection and the Aries should provide that well. On hindsight, I would order the Westins.
Great product, it only took an hour to install both nerf bars. Would highly recommend them!!
Best price on the net. Easy to install and Made my daughters truck look great, plus made it easier for her to climb into her truck.
The running boards still look new after one year.
The running boards arrived in about three or four days and were a perfect fit, good job!
Thanks.
So far so good. Product was easy to install, with minimal adjustments on my part. Instructions are short and sweet- to the point.
Perfect fit. Still looking just like new. Wax them a few times during the summer and they look great..
