Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look installing the Demco Premier Series Above-Bed Base Rail Kit with custom installation kit on a 2013 Ford F-250. Now this is also gonna work with the Ford F-350 as well. Adding base rails to the bed of your truck is a great option. If you ever plan on having a fifth wheel and being that these are ISR standard it's gonna accept a bunch of different fifth wheels. So no matter what brand you have, it should work with these rails. Now our neighbor today has chosen to get a BMW with a patriot, which is a great option especially if you have a six and a half foot bed because this is a sliding hitch. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at B&W's the Patriot 18K Fifth Wheel on a 2013 Ford F-250. Now, today we have our fifth wheel in a 6 1/2' bed and that's why this is a great option. B&W makes some awesome fifth wheel hitches. They're some of my personal favorites. The quality's fantastic, but this one in particular, if your weight capacity is right at 18,000 or less, is gonna be a great option because, when you need to maneuver, you need a little bit more clearance so you don't hit your cab corners, you can just simply pull the latch, slide this back, it'll lock into place and now you can maneuver without having to worry about damaging your cab. We have our Patriot mounted into Demco's Premier Series rail kit. more

Today, on our 2007 Ford F250 Super Duty we'll take a look at I'm gonna show you how to install replacement 150 amp motor solenoid for Fisher Snowplow. That's what our solenoids gonna look like once we install. This is gonna be a direct replacement for the original solenoid. What the solenoid basically does it's basically an on and off switch for your plow. It's gonna have a power wire that runs to your battery and have wires that run down to your snow plow so you're able to shut turn it off and on from inside the vehicle. It's connected to your positive side of your battery so you're always gonna have power to it. more

And this is what our compressor system looks like when it's installed. This EZ Mount system is one of the cleanest and easiest compressor systems to install 'cause the entire package is wrapped up inside of this mounting bracket right here, which means to mount it up, you just need to mount this bracket to somewhere on your frame or under your bed. So, here on our Ford F-250, when I put the truck bed utility mat down, I noticed that it was actually pretty close to the perfect size for our truck bed. Now, we have an eight foot long truck bed right here. So, you can see how this really filled out the inside. more

Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Installation - 2014 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty- Video
Hey everyone, today we're gonna be going over and show you how to install, the Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver here on our 2014 Ford F-350. So this is what our trailer hitch is gonna look like installed. And as you can see, the only thing that's actually gonna be visible from outside the vehicle is the receiver tube opening. The cross tube is gonna be pretty much hidden behind this little deflector here. Now, there are a couple of different things about this hitch that I really like it, sets it apart from some of the other options, is number one, we can actually adjust the position of the receiver tube, so right now we have it installed in the rise position and basically that's gonna give us the most ground clearance possible, we are gonna have to do a little bit more cutting because we're gonna be in the center sort of, of this deflector here, but we can also install it in the drop position, say you have a snowplow, you probably need your trailer hitch to be a little bit closer to the ground, so in which case, we can actually install this, it actually gets flipped, so it sits about down here in this area here. But if you're using it for like a bike rack, a cargo basket, or like a winch mounting chances are you're gonna wanna install it in the rise position that we have it in here. more

Shane: Hey everyone. Shane here with etrailer.com. Today I have a 2013 Ford F250 Super Duty and I want to walk through how to install the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs for the rear axle. Air Helper Springs are going to provide extra support for your rear axle so your axle is not making up for what your suspension can't handle.Nice thing about having these springs is they can be aired up independently. If we have more weight on one side of the vehicle, we can add a little bit more air in that spring to help support that load on that one side. Now, if you're wanting to make it a little bit easier to add and decrease the pressure in your bags, there are compressors available. more

Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer today. We're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Air Lift LoadLifter, 7,500 air helper springs on our 2014 Ford F250. Now features are one thing, but how the truck is actually going to perform once you have the airbags installed is another. So before I put the airbags on, I put some weight in the truck and drove it around to feel it out. Now that I have the airbags on, I threw the same weight in there and I'm really curious to see how it's going to improve. So why don't we hop in the truck, run through the test scores and see how it does So the first thing that we're going to do is straighten out a little bit here and we're going to go over some bumps to see how our suspension feels.Let me get going here, hit our first couple of bumps and actually right away, I'm pretty impressed believe it or not, these airbags make the suspension feel like it's much more forgiving. more

So this connector is going to make towing your Fifth Wheel or Gooseneck Trailer just a little bit easier. You're able to just simply plug the trailer wiring directly into here, as opposed to having to drape your wiring over the tailgate, plug it down by the bumper. This is going to simplify things a little bit. You're not going to have to worry about that wiring scratching up your tailgate or potentially coming unplugged. more

Opti-Brite LED Work Light Installation - 2013 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty- Video
Rob: Hey everybody, Rob here at etrailer.com, and today we're going to be taking a look at the Optronics Opti-Brite LED Work Lights on our 2013 Ford F-250. Now, having a set of work lights on your truck can come in handy in a lot of different situations, maybe we need to get to the job site and it's at night and we don't really want to carry a generator around to have some work lights that plug into 110. Well, these work lights mounted under your truck are going to work with 12 or 24 volt systems and make it a lot easier so you can get light almost in any direction. We chose to amount ours here at the back of the bumper so we could have light coming at the back.The truck already has some work lights on the front, that way we can have light all the way around our truck, so whether we need to back up to a trailer, unhook the trailer, unloaded it or anything in the back of the truck, we'll have light. But then again on the front, if we need to have light up there, we have light there as well.Even in a fully lit room like we're in right now that has a lot of light in it, you can see how much light that light is putting on the door there. So, you can only imagine how bright it is when there's not a lot of ambient light and the lights are turned off. more

Now, here's what our wiring looks like once we have it installed. And we chose to mount ours pretty close to the back of the tailgate so it's really easily accessible whenever we hook up our fifth wheel. This is going to give us a nice seven way connector in the bed of our truck and it's going to prevent us from having to drape the cord over the tailgate and hook it up to the bumper. more

Now the great thing about these rails is that they're going to work with many different types of fifth wheels, as you can see here. And now with the fifth wheel out of the way, we can take a better look at the rails themselves. The rails are going to have three openings here on each side, and that's going to work with most common fifth wheel hitches because that's where those hitches actually drop into place.Now these are made out of steel and they're really heavy duty and should last a long time. more

Today on our 2010 Ford F250, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt under bed double lock gooseneck trailer hitch with installation kit. The hitch is going to be completely mounted underneath the bed and this is what it's going to look like once it's installed. What I really like about this hitch is the fact that we are going to have dual locking pins, which not only means double the safety, but also double the strength. And since the hitch is mounted underneath the bed, it's going to free up all that space up top so it's going to come in handy whether you're at the job site, hauling supplies around, maybe throwing a couple of motorcycles in the bed or even taking your family on vacation, we're not going to lose any of this precious space.One of the other things I noticed right away that's different from many of the other goosenecks available is the safety chain loops. They're going to be spring loaded so they're not going to bounce around, but they're also going to be very thick and very dependable. more

We're not going to have any rails or anything like that in the way. Now essentially our F-350's bed is going to have a template, if you will, for our kit.There are spots in the bed that are flat for where our pucks are going to sit. And in most cases, unless you have a very thick bed liner like this, there's actually going to be a dimple in the bed. more

Air Lift LoadLifter Air Helper Springs Installation - 2013 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty- Video
Hi there, Ford owners. Today on your 2013 Ford F250, we're going to be installing Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 air helper springs.And this is what our airbags look like when they're installed. It's going to sit between the frame of the vehicle and it's going to rest on top of the jounce bumper plate, located right above our axle.Each airbag has its own independent air line going through it, so they can be aired up independently. This is nice if you need to adjust for any uneven loads that may be placed in the back of your vehicle.Each airbag will operate between 5-100 psi. Five is typically used when the vehicle's unloaded. You don't ever want to run it all the way empty, so five pounds is your minimum. more

Today on our 2012 Ford F350 we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Air Lift Wirelessone Compressor System for air helper springs. Having air bags can be a really nice thing for hauling a load or have a heavy trailer, it'll make sure that the back end of our vehicle isn't gonna sag. But sometimes there's points where we don't have a hose and we don't have access to compressed air to fill up our air bags. That's where our Air Lift Wirelessone Compressor is gonna come in. We're going to be able to fill up our air bags whether we're inside of our truck sitting there or before we even get in. We'll have our hand held remote that will be able to make all of your adjustments and adjust our air bags up or down depending on our load.One thing you're really gonna appreciate about the compressor itself, not only are we going to have this wireless remote that we're going to be able to control everything, but if the batteries die in our remote or we live it in our truck, or we just can't find it, we're still going to be able to adjust our bags. more

The air filter is designed to trap all of the dirt, debris, and contaminants from getting inside our engine, which in turn is going to allow our engine to run more efficiently. Our filter is going to be constructed of paper pleats, and what the pleats do is contaminants will get inside there, and those pleats will hold those contaminants tight.We're going to have a rubber seal that goes around the outside. This is going to help seal the top side of our air box to the bottom. more

Today on our 2011 Ford F-250 Super Duty, we're gonna be taking a look at the Husky Liner's X-act Contour Custom Auto Floor Liner for the second row, in black.This is what our liner looks like when it's installed. This is gonna be a one-piece, custom fit floor liner.It's gonna be constructed of a rubberized thermal plastic material. That's not gonna dry or crack. And it's gonna hold up to most hazardous chemicals, like your oils, gasses, and battery acids.We're gonna have raised edges that are gonna help keep water, dirt, and debris inside, on the mat, off our carpet. We're gonna have raised channels that are gonna help divert that water away from the bottom of our shoes.Another nice thing I like about this is not only is it gonna have raised edges here, but here, under the seat, or towards our back seat here, we're also gonna have a raised edge there.You can see our customer here has a small child. What's nice about this mat is anything that child might drop, maybe they're eating something, cookie crumbs, maybe they're drinking a bottle of milk or something like that. more

Today on our 2004 Ford F-350, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Truxedo Deuce 2 Soft Roll Up Tonneau Cover.So here's what our tonneau cover looks like once we have it installed. It's got that low profile, sleek design like most roll up covers do. But what's really gonna set this one apart is the fact that we're gonna be able to gain access to the front of our bed without having to roll the entire cover up. We'll flip this switch, we can lift up and fold this entire section so we can gain access to all our cargo at the front. That's gonna come in handy, especially whenever stuff has started moving around, and we need to get something that's either slid to the front or something that we tied down up here and we don't have to roll the tonneau cover all the way up.So, if you're looking to gain access to the front of your bed and you have a tonneau cover, our Deuce is gonna be one of the only ones on the market that's gonna allow you to get access up here. Securing everything back in place is gonna be simple as dropping the tonneau cover down, make sure it latches in place. more

Today on our 2013 Ford F-250 you're going to be taking a look at and I'm going to show you how to install the Draw Tite Hide-A-Goose Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch with Installation Kit. This is what our hitch is going to look like when it's installed. What this is good for is it's going to give us total bed access. Our safety chain loops are going to fit in a lower corrugation. Our hitch sits right at bed level, so any time we want to slide anything in and out, we're not going to have to worry about damage.It's going to come with a 2-5/16" ball, and you're going to see a groove here in the side. There's going to be a pin on the inside of the hitch, and little tabs at the very bottom. more

Today on our 2013 Ford F-250 Super Duty you're gonna be taking a look at, I'm gonna show you how to install the Draw-Tite Custom Underbed Installation Kit for high rise fifth wheel trailer hitch.This is what our hitch is gonna look like when it's installed. What this is good for, is it's gonna give us total bed access. We're gonna have a 30,000 pound gross trailer weight, which is the trailer plus load included, and a 7,500 vertical load limit. I do recommend checking the owner's manual of your vehicle to make sure your vehicle can withstand that amount of weight. You're gonna go with the lowest number between the vehicle and the hitch.Our center section, our cross members that are gonna spread from frame rail to from rail, and our frame brackets are all gonna have nice powder coat finish, that's gonna resist any rust or corrosion. Let's start with our frame brackets, they're gonna mount to the outside of our frame rails, and they're gonna use existing holes already in the frame. more

Today on our 2013 Ford F250 Super Duty we're going to be taking a look at I'm going to show you how to install inaudible 00:00:01 Gooseneck 90 Degree Wiring Harness.This is what our wiring's going to look like when it's installed. This is going to provide us with a seven way plug when we're towing a fifth wheel or gooseneck.What's nice about this being an in bed setup is when we have our gooseneck or fifth wheel hooked up, our wiring can stay inside the bed instead of having to hang over our tailgate and hook into our factory wiring.This plug, once this is installed, it's going to hook directly inline with your factory wiring. You're not going to do any cutting or splicing.What's nice about the inaudible 00:00:39 wiring is on the front of your plug, it's going to tell you what each wire function is. The cap itself is going to be springloaded. It's going to help keep any dirt and debris from getting inside on the plug connections. It's going to have a rubber seal. more

Today on our 2013 F350 Super Duty, you're going to be taking a look at, I'm going to show you how to install the draw tight, 2" front mount trailer hitch receiver.This is what our hitch looks like when it's installed. As you can see, the cross tube is completely hidden behind the air dam. It's going to maintain a nice clean look on the front of our vehicle. This hitch is going to be great for any of your front hitch or front vehicle mounted accessories, spare tire carrier, winch, maybe a snow plow, even.It's going to give us a 2" by 2" tube opening. Today on our 2013 Ford F350 Super Duty, you're going to be taking a look at and I'm going to show you how to install the Curt 2 inch front mount trailer hitch receiver.This is what our hitch looks like when it's installed. It's going to give you a 2 inch by 2 inch receiver tube opening, a 5/8 inch hitch pin hole. This hitch can be used in a lowered or raised position. In the lowered position, the bottom of the receiver tube is only going to sit about 3 inches off the ground. Our side plates, these are going to be mounted to the frame rails. These are only going to sit about 3-1/2 inches off the ground. more

Today in our 2010 Ford F-350 Super Duty, we're going to be installing B and W's Custom Under Bed Installation Kit for B and W Companion 5th wheel Trailer Hitches. Part number PWGNRK1108-5W.This 5th Wheel Installation Kit is designed to let you install your B and W companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches. The adapters are part numbers BWRVK3500 or part number BWRVK3400.The under bed design of the kit allows for full truck bed access, and when you're ready, it's under five minutes to convert your empty truck bed into a 5th Wheel Hitch.We'll start off by unlocking our B and W hitch and installing our 5th wheel adaptor. We have ours preassembled, but you can adjust the uprights here depending on your truck and trailer combinations.At this point, the hitch is ready to attach to a trailer. There's a little clip here that you release. Basically it's a safety thing. more

Gooseneck Trailer Hitch Installation - 2010 Ford F-350 Super Duty- Video
Today on our 2010 Ford F350 Super Duty, we're gonna be installing B&W's Turnover Ball Underbite Gooseneck Hitch, part number BWG NRK 1108. This gooseneck hitch is gonna allow you to hook up your gooseneck trailer and park behind your truck. The ball that comes with it can be removed and inserted upside down, storing it away, being nice and flush, so you have full access to your truck bed, as if it wasn't there. Your safety chains are spring loaded turned down snug against the bed of the truck so it can stay out of the way, but when you need them they simply pop up and they're ready to use. Additionally, the system can be used with B&W's companion, so you can put a fifth wheel insert in here on and now you're fit for a trailer as well.Okay, on our driver's side we'll have our release handle for our ball. We simply let it go inward to lock your ball into place, and when you need to take it out, flip it over, replace it with a different size, you simply pull it out, push it to the side, and that'll hold it in place so you can make your adjustments and lock it back down. more

Today, the 2006 Ford F350 Super Duty, we're going to review and install the draw tight front mount trailer hitch receiver, part number 65022.This is what the hitch looks like once installed on our truck. What's really nice is the appearance of it, it all sits behind the bumper here, so it has a nice clean look and there's nothing sticking out.We have a standard two inch opening right here, which is great for a variety of accessories out there, such as a winch, that you can plug into here. Certain snowplows will plug into your front and work with that as well.We'll take a look at the side of the receiver here. You can see it uses a standard five eighths diameter hitch pin here, or your favorite locking hitch pin.You'll notice that the smaller diameter hole here, this is designed to work with the J Pin anti rattle stabilization pin for certain accessories that do not have their own anti rattle device.Now this is really intended for a winch being installed on the front of this here, and we'll cover the ratings for that. This is going to be .. This is going to have a maximum winch line pool of 9,000 pounds, and then a cargo capacity, which is the weight pushing down on the hitch this way, it's good up to 500 pounds.A couple of other unique ideas to use this hitch with, is actually use your ball mount you pull a trailer with, put it in front, and that way you can steer your trailer into tight corners or tight areas wherever you go park your trailer at. more

Husky Custom Base Rail Kit Installation - 2006 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty- Video
Speaker 1: Today, on this 2006 Ford F350 Super Duty, we're going to review and install a Husky custom base rail and installation kit, part number HQ31407-686.Now, a rail kit can be used with a variety of different fifth-wheel hitches out there, such as this Demco product, here. Also work with with Draw-Tite, Reese, Husky, and other brands that are out there. You can see that it's a very conventional setup, got the same two rails as you used to with all the other fifth-wheel rail kits that are out there.Now, this kit is unique that it uses a four-bolt system, instead of the conventional ten-bolt system you see on a lot of other rail kits that are out there.Now, rails do sit as flush as possible to the truck, and still allows you to have full-bed access. However, when you load your truck up, you may have to consider the rails themselves, and also the bolt heads sticking up.All right, we seen what's on top of the bed, let's go beneath the truck, and take a look how the other of the kit is this nice one-piece unit right here, that attaches to the frame of truck, and uses existing bolt holes in the frame. So the only real drilling you have to do is go through the bed of the truck, see, and that's pretty easy, compared to drilling through the frame.One cool little detail about our hitch is actually part of fastening itself. This nut right here clamps into place onto the frame bracket, and makes it real easy to help us tighten down, thread the bolt, get it started and tighten it down. more

Speaker 1: Today in our 2013 Ford F250, we're going to be installing Curt's Ezr Double Lock Underbed Gooseneck, part number C60683. And this is what our hitch is going to look like when it's installed. All the railing's going to be hidden completely underneath, so you're only going to be able to see the ball sticking out of the top, and our safety chain loop. And our ball can be stored upside down when not in use to help maximize the usability of your truck bed. And now you've got full bed access while your Gooseneck hitch is installed.This Gooseneck hitch is going to allow you to hook up your Gooseneck trailer. What's great about Gooseneck trailers over your conventional hitch mounted trailer in the back, is that it places the load over the top of your axle, bringing it over the center and allowing you to haul more of a giant load. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2008 Ford F-350 we're going to be test fitting the TracRac TracOne Truck Bed Ladder Rack. The TracRac Ladder Rack is perfect for carrying those elongated loads such as lumber, ladders, or even a kayak.Now the crossbars are 65 inches long. The system's going to have an 800 pound weight capacity and it's going to work with most trucks. Now the crossbars do also have channels on the top and the bottom so you can carry any of your T-channel accessories. It does come with four adjustable load stops so you'll be able to easily secure your load.Now compared to other ladder racks this does have a more aerodynamic design, which is going to cut down on wind noise. It is made out of aluminum, which means it's going to be resistant to any kind of corrosion and it's a no drill application. more

Now, we have a vast majority of our rack installed on our truck already, and we'll go ahead and cover some of the details. First off, this is a no-drill application. The black rails actually fit into the pre-existing stake pockets in the truck. We have our upright here, closest to the cab. You notice it sits in the outside track of a rail on the bed. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2005 Ford F250, we have our track rack universal steel rack truck bed ladder rack with over the cab extension. The built in over the cab extension provides additional support for extra long loads. Now that we have our ladder in place, I'll show you a few nice features about this. Plenty of places to wrap our strap around. This is just the generic cam buckle strap. You can strap to pretty much any point on here, and it's going to give you a nice solid sturdy place to strap. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2014 Ford F-250- Video
Speaker 2: Today on our 2014 Ford F-250, we're going to take a look at and show you how to install the Bargman nine foot-long fifth wheel and gooseneck 90 degree wiring harness. Part number is 50-97-410. Now here's what our is going to look like installed. As you can see, it's just like a standard seven-pole round plug that you see on the back of the vehicle. Having the plug in the bed of the truck is going to eliminate the need for you to drape your wiring over the back of the truck and plug it in when you've got a gooseneck or fifth wheel. This one happens to be nine foot long, so it gives you good reach. more

Air Lift WirelessAIR Compressor System Installation - 2012 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty- Video
Speaker 1: Today in our 2012 Ford F250 Super Duty, we're gonna be taking a look at showing you how to install the airlift wireless air compressor system for air helper springs, part number AL72000.So with our compressor installed, this is gonna be your control unit, which you'll keep inside the vehicle. Now in order for your compressor to work, it's set up to work with a key in the on position. The truck or vehicle doesn't have to be running, but it has to be in the on position.Now we can see, we have 5 PSI on each bag, showing that we have our back tires, our back wheels hooked up. So if we press the up arrow, it's set to inflate to 15 pounds or 15 pounds per square inch. Click that, and then you press the down arrow, you can deflate it. And it'll deflate and it'll stop at 5 PSI. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2012 Ford F-250 Super Duty, we're going to be taking a look at, and showing you how to install, the AirLift LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate Plus Air Springs with Internal Bumpers, part number AL89396.What these are going to do for you, is when you're hauling a fifth wheel, gooseneck, heavy load in the back of the truck, and the back of your vehicle sags; what these are going to do, is these are going to allow you to raise your vehicle back up to factory ride height. It's much safer when you're traveling, or towing something.Another great thing about these, is you can air these up individually. So that if you have a load that is off-centered, or is weighted more on one side, you can air up one bag a little bit more than the other to bring your vehicle back to level.One thing I really like about these air bags, is even though they replace your factory bump-stops, they're going to have internal bumpers. They're going to help provide that adjustable load support of the air springs and give you the reliability of the jounce springs, so they're going to give you the best of both worlds there.And our bags are going to be constructed of a 2-ply fabric reinforced rubber, so they're going to be really durable, and last long time.This is what our fittings look like installed on our bumper. It's completely up to you where you install them. This is where I chose to install them. more

Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement Installation - 2012 Ford F-250- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2012 Ford F-250, you're going to be taking a look at, and I'm going to show you how to install, the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System, part number TFRTT350F.Before we install our suspension enhancement, what we want to do is we want to take a measurement to find our normal ride height. Now even though we're not going to be able to adjust the suspension enhancement system we're putting in, we do want to find out how much of an advantage it's giving us, or how much it's helping us out when we have weight added on to it. So we're going to take a measurement here in the back, and what we want to do is go from the ground up to the center of the wheel to the bottom edge, and looks like we're about 41 1/2.Now we've added about 1000 pounds of weight to the back of the truck, let's see how much it dropped. We'll take another measurement, again ground center of the wheel, lower edge of the fender here, it looks like we're at about 39 1/2. So we've dropped 2 inches in the back.The extra weight will put unnecessary stress on our factory suspension. It can also cause excessive tire wear, and effect breaking and steering.Now with the new enhancement springs installed, weight put back in the truck, let's go ahead and take another measurement and see how much it's helped us out. more

Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the best brake controllers available for the 2014 Ford F250, 350, and 450, and the F350, 450, and 550 cab and chassis models.All of the brake controllers that we're going to look at today are proportional controllers. It's a newer technology available, and it really is just a lot better than what the time delayed systems used to be. Basically with the time delayed system, it was pre-programmed when your brakes would engage. You'd hit the brake in your vehicle, there might be a pause before the brakes on your trailer actually engage.With the proportional controller, we don't have to worry about that. If we hit our brakes on our truck, our brakes are going to start being applied, and they're going to be applied in proportion to how we're braking in our truck. When we hit the brakes hard, they're going to apply the brakes more heavily. more
