Hi there! I'm Michael with etrailer.com Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this bulldog velocity series electric landing gear jack. This is going to make it much easier and quicker for you to level and stabilize your trailer. It is designed to be used as a part of a set, so, it is gonna be ideal for completing a set for your tandem applications. It does have this powder coded, four inch wide steel outer tube. So it's gonna be very strong that powder coat's gonna help with corrosion resistance, so it'll be very long lasting for us, but that steel construction is going to give us a lift capacity of 12,000 lbs. It does have a single speed, a 12V DC motor.

That's gonna maintain a high speed even with your heavy loads. It's gonna give us 20 inches of lift in 60 seconds. And so it will work very quickly for us. The motor is sealed and it's not gonna require any maintenance, unlike your hydraulic jacks, there's no need for pump, or oil, or hoses. That's all gonna be very self-sufficient.

To operate the jack without electricity, there is this little tab up here at the top that we can pull back and then we can just use a three quarter inch hex socket in there. If we we're to ever find ourselves without electricity that way we're not gonna have to be stuck up in the air. We can easily adjust that, so that we can move our jack again. This does have these integrated mounting brackets that are going to make it very easy to get hooked up or connected to multiple different trailers, different trailer heights. The bolt onto the trailer, so you're not gonna have to worry about welding.

You can see we've got four bolt holes on each side of both brackets. The bracket height overall is going to be right about 33 and a quarter of an inch when we have it retracted. When we have it extended, that's gonna go up to about 57 and a quarter of an inch. So, we do have a lift of 24 inches, our overall height. And when we have it retracted like this, it's is going to be about 44, just over 44 inches, actually I'm gonna call it 45 inches tall.

And then of course with the 24 inches as we raise it up, it's going to go up to that 68 inch range, or 69 inches for us when it's fully extended. It does have a built in clutch, that's gonna help prevent damage from over extension. So, we're not gonna have to worry about that. At the bottom, we do have this extra large articulating flip plate. That's going to give us 10 inches in length, 10 inches in width. So it is going to have a nice wide surface area. So we don't have to worry about sinking in the soft ground. It's also gonna provide excellent stability and help to prevent tilting for us when we're hooked up. One thing that does not come with this that you are absolutely gonna need is a remote control or control box that will plug in right here on the side. We do have several options available here at etrailer.comMichael So either one of those will work for you. Just depends on whether you want to have something that's mounted in place that you go push the button, or if you want to have that wireless remote that you can easily carry around with you, either way will work and just plug it in there. And that will give it the control that you need. Obviously, hook up to your 12V DC power with the included power cables there. So very easy to get hooked up and ready to go. So, I think this is gonna be a really great option for those of you who maybe already have one jack and you're looking to add another jack. Maybe one of your jacks has become damaged, whatever the case, but this is definitely gonna be need to be used as a set. So, you won't be able to use just the one. And of course you never want to raise your trailer with just your jacks. They're just designed to hold a portion of your trailer's weight. So you never want to lift your wheels off the ground to change your tires or anything like that with your jacks that's not what they're really designed for. They're more just there to give you that stability that you need. Make sure everything's gonna be nice and leveled. So that completes our look for today.
