Recommended Gooseneck Pin Box To Replace Lippert 1621 On 5th Wheel Trailer

Which gooseneck pin box will fit my trailer? I included a picture of the serial number on the current pin box.

I reached out to my contact at Lippert and based on the serial number you provided I was able to confirm that your trailer has a 1621 pin box with an 18000lb rating.
For a gooseneck pin box that will fit you will need either the Reese Goose Box - 20000lb # RP85FR or the Gen-Y 25000lb # GY38FR.
Between these two options I recommend the Gen-Y # GY38FR due to it having a built in shock absorber feature that will give you a smoother ride, but also due to it having an auto latch coupler that allows for an easy hook up.

I am trying to do research to figure out which goose pin box will be a replacement for my new 390 TBS 2025 it currently has the leopard rhino box installed. The trailer has a GVWR of 16 995. I can’t locate The exact number because I am not at the camper but I believe it’s a leopard 1621? I know the LCI item number is 202-305-5758 and the RPO – 0012612443 is on the sticker on the side of the pin box.. I was looking at both the Gen Y and the Reese box not sure which one would be better please advise any comments or suggestions? Thanks in advance.
