Is Curt and Reese Wedge for Curt A Series Fifth Wheel Hitch the Same
Question:
what is the difference between rp31016 Reese wedge and Curt c 16992? this is for Curt A16 hitch and Reese sidewinder. I have the curt and it seems to bind when trying to unhook. Are they exact same measurements? Or could I not have it installed properly?

Expert Reply:
Curt and Reese both make a wedge for use with the A series hitches and the Sidewinder pin boxes. One of the reasons Curt decided to make a wedge is because Curt made the A series as an update to their Q series as a version of the hitch that is compatible with the Sidewinder. The Q Series was not Sidewinder compatible. That said, the Reese and the Curt are nearly identical and I wouldn't necessarily recommend one over the other. If yours is binding up it's most likely the position of the wedge isn't ideal and could stand to be adjusted. Or the ground you are trying to connect/disconnect on is not level enough.
