Question:
This came with no instructions of how to wire. I intended on ordering the Blue Ox 7-pin to 4-pin coiled cable, but I first wanted to make sure I could install this plug.

The Replacement 4-Wire Plug for Blue Ox Coiled Electrical Cord - Vehicle End - Qty 1 # 294-0805 is wired as the diagram shows. This is the color and function from the back of the connection where the wires to your towed vehicle attach. I've also attached a similar installation video to assist. You can use the Blue Ox 7-Wire to 4-Wire, Coiled Electrical Cord - 7' Long # BX88254.
If you want a slightly longer cord with the visual to glow at night, you can use the Hopkins Endurance Flex-Coil Trailer Connector Adapter w/ Nite-Glow - 7-Pole to 4-Pole - 8' Long # HM47043 which is a popular option.
