Question:

Hi. I am looking for a enclosed roof system for my husbands 205 xterra. He already had the tubular roof rack that comes on many of the xterras. We ski and snowboard...looking for some help in finding him the right one for a x-mas pesent. thanks

To install the Thule Pulse XL Cargo Box, item # TH615, on the roof of your husbands 2005 Nissan Xterra, he will also need the Thule Evo Raised Rail Feet # TH710401, 53" WingBar Evo Crossbars # TH711420, as well as locks # TH450400. This cross bar kit will provide an attachment point for the Quick Grip mounts that are included with the cargo box.

Another option would be to use a Yakima cargo box that will attach directly to the factory cross bars on the 2005 Xterra. We have several to choose from, see link. I would recommend the Yakima SkyBox 18 Cargo Box, item # Y07336, which has a bit more space than the Thule model you selected, is more economical and will not require additional cross bars if your 2005 Xterra has the factory cross bars.
