Recommended Brake Controller For Tandem Trailer with Electric Brakes

Question:

I have just bought a Mazda BT50 dual cab turbo diesel and will have bought a 21 foot dual axle caravan. Approximately 2600kgs fully laden. I am about to get tow bar and brakes fitted and dont know what electric brakes to fit, I have been told the P2 and the P3 are the way to go. I am a first time caravanners so I want to fit something that an idiot can operate, your feedback would be appreciated. Thanks,

I would recommend either the Tekonsha Prodigy P2, part # 90885, or P3 part # 90195. Both are great brake controllers that can be used for electric or electric-over-hydraulic brakes on trailers with 1 to 4 axles. These are two of our most popular brake controllers because they are easy to install or operate.
