First place you need to check is the owners manual of your 2014 Kia Soul. There will be a section on recreational flat towing that will list any restrictions your vehicle may have when it comes to towing.

If that checks out the first thing you will need is a set of base plates, for that the Blue Ox Base Plate kit part # BX2726 has been confirmed to fit your 2014 Kia Soul with an automatic transmission.

In addition to the base plates, you will also need a compatible tow bar, safety cables, lighting, and supplemental braking to flat tow your vehicle. The most popular compatible tow bar is the Blue Ox Alpha part # BX7380. This comes with safety cables. The coiled design helps keep the cables off of the ground.

For lighting you can use the bulb and socket kit, # RM-155, and not have to worry about cutting and splicing into the vehicle wiring.

And finally, most states now require supplemental braking in the vehicle being flat towed.
